Big Mantrap Lake truly lives up its name. This 1,770-acre Lake snakes its way around nearly 35 miles of fish able shoreline. Its been referred to as “little lake of the woods” because of the spars development and the many bays, arms and islands. As you along, each new water way and bay looks better then the last. You keep plunking along the shoreline, moving and exploring. Finally, when its time to head back, you look around and wonder, “which way”? Besides the variety of game fish in the lake, when you get around that next bend you could see an osprey swoop down for a fish or a bald eagle doing a bit of nest repair.
